The Five Second Test
The five second test is a really nice way for designers to get quick feedback about a new design.
I discovered the five second test website last week and I decided to try it on BrightSky. Thanks to all of you who did the test for me. You can see the results here. I like this test as its so short people are more likely to do it and it also gives a clear representation of what is drawing peoples eye when the page first loads. The site works by letting users upload an image to test so you can do this test on anything you can take a picture of.
Here’s some of the keywords you all put in:
- Brightsky
- Big Red Button
- A Big Hello
- Name of Company
- Contact Us
- Robots (I can’t think why the hell that would be in there!)
- Web Design
