I’m the video guy here at BrightSky, although my qualifications and experience leans more towards the business end of things. Since I worked in my parents video rental shop in Wexford, I’ve wanted to direct movies. I’ve been recording live musicians for mixtape.ie since the site began, and together with the mixtape crew, I’ve worked on over 100 production in six months. I’m very keen to meet other film makers in Ireland and to chat online about the art and science of film making.

Since we’re new to the game, we haven’t bothered with tape. We’ve set ourselves up with four high quality video cameras that record onto SD cards giving us the ability to turn productions around in a very short timeframe. We use Adobe Premiere for editing which really works well with the Adobe products the rest of the team use for graphic and web design.

I’m always kean to chat. Find me on: LinkedInFacebookTwitter or email me at andy[at]brightsky[dot]ie.

Hi, I’m BrightSky’s designer although I tend to get stuck with a lot of development too. I studied Multimedia Programming in IADT Dun Laoghaire where I learned a pile of web design and development techniques. While studying I worked as a freelance photo journalist with the Dublin edition of the Metro.

When I finished college I worked full time for the Metro for a year before setting up AD Brightsky Ltd. In the Metro I learned a lot about the inner workings of newspapers and photo journalism. I now specialise in custom Wordpress themes and plugins.

I’ve been working on a few things over the last few months; my portfolio, The Stigismotron, and of course the redesign of this site. I’m currently working in house on the design for a new web tool called HeyStaks

My email is: abban [at] brightsky [dot] ie and you can find me on: Blog , LinkedIn , Facebook , Twitter and My Portfolio.

Hello I’m BrightSky’s pet Vampire and Web Developer. My current role within the company is development, to provide assistance to the graphic department (A.K.A. Abban) and to supply ideas and suggestions to the team in general.

As a prerequisite to being a tamed creature of the night I also have experience in management, marketing, long-term maintenance of websites and customer service.

I’m also a cameraman for Mixtape. You’ll recognise my shots as the ones that don’t make the final edit! Along with the video-production, I do my web development work to the best of my ability and have a passion for what I do.

The best thing about my roles in BrightSky and Mixtape is that I get to create a finished product that other people get to see and enjoy. That why I love what I do.

Find me on: Blog , Xbox Live , Twitter, facebook.

I’m Brightsky’s resident journalist, copy writer and editor of Mixtape. I’ve been working in media for over two years in pretty much all areas: writing, sub editing, picture editing and radio, for Metro, Drop-d, Newstalk and others. I currently specialise in podcast production (both audio and video). I also work on the picture desk at Ireland’s leading sports photography agency Sportsfile.

Previously, I have also lectured in Web Authoring and worked on the recent US election for prediction markets website Intrade reporting on the election, writing press releases and working as part of the online marketing team.

From everything I’ve learned working in the media and the web I bring a wide range of experience and expertise to Brightsky.
